Damage to overhead wires between Royston and Cambridge North means there is disruption on the Great Northern line.
Great Northern initially tweeted that “Due to a failure of the electricity supply between Royston and Cambridge services running between these stations may be subject to delay or cancellation. Network Rail engineers are investigating the issue.”
They have now confirmed there is damage on the line, saying: “Damage to the overhead wires between Royston and Cambridge North – trains have to run at a reduced speed.
“Ticket acceptance on Greater Anglia between London Liverpool Street, Cambridge and Ely, and CrossCountry between Cambridge and Ely.”
