A 36-YEAR-old man is critically ill in Lister Hospital after he was stabbed several times in the back and legs on Saturday night.
Police were called to Wansbeck Close in Great Ashby at about 8.30pm to reports of an altercation between two men.
Paul Wakefield, 34, of Fetlock Close in Bedford, has been charged with attempted murder and will appear at Hatfield Remand Court tomorrow (Tuesday).
