Stevenage’s Matt Ball was an influential figure for on loan club Farnborough in their 4-2 Skrill South win over Bishop’s Stortford on Tuesday night.
The Northern Ireland U21 midfielder had a hand in setting up two goals as well as scoring himself.
Farnborough, formerly managed by Stevenage boss Graham Westley, took the lead when Ball’s long range free-kick was fumbled by the keeper and the rebound tucked in by Josh Huggins.
Ball then unselfishly set-up team-mate Phil Page for a tap-in with both players clean through and just the keeper to beat.
Stortford pulled one back, before the Boro youngster then got on the scoresheet firing home a free-kick into the top corner.
Stortford made it 3-2 only for Huggins to wrap up the night’s scoring late on with Farnborough’s fourth.
