SIXTH FORM students became national ambassadors for the Holocaust Educational Trust after making a speech in the House of Lords.
Rebecca Morley and Emily-Rose Dover, pupils at Fearnhill School, Letchworth GC, represented one of four schools chosen from 350 to make a presentation on the Holocaust at Westminister.
The girls conveyed the impact of their visit to Auschwitz last November and the lessons to be learned from the Holocaust.
Emily-Rose, 17, said: "The visit to Auschwitz was an unbelievable experience and it was very moving."
Rebecca, also 17, added: "The most harrowing scene was looking at the 10,000 pairs of shoes that were left in a room and then we realised that they belonged to people that had been executed."
