Generous cyclists planning to cycle more than 1,000 kilometres to Stevenage’s twin towns in France and Germany to raise £100,000 for the Lister Hospital have already donated vital equipment to a dementia ward.
Graham Hoare from Twin Towns met with Riz Tibio from the Dementia Care Team after they received cushion alarms worth more than £1,000.
Riz said: “Heartfelt thanks to the Twin Town group supporting our aims to enhance the quality of care we provide for our patients.
“We’ll use this piece of equipment to minimise the incidence of falls.”
