A GENERATOR worth about £2,000 has been stolen from a disused building which is being prepared for demolition.
A police appeal has been launched after the goods were taken from Cromer House in Caxton Way, Stevenage, some time between 4pm on Friday, January 11, and 7am on Monday, January 14.
The generator was supplying power to workers who are demolishing the building after 25 companies had to move out of the premises by the end of last year.
“Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed any suspicious activity, or who has been offered such an item for sale, to contact them immediately,” said inspector Simon Tabert.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the police on non-emergency number 101.
