THE PERCENTAGE of pupils gaining top grades is up on last year. Eighty-two per cent of students received five or more A*-C grades and 36 per cent of those were A* or A.

Headteacher Michael Kelly said: "We are thrilled with this year's GCSE results and the increase in the percentage of our pupils gaining A* and A grades has been outstanding.

"We are proud of this success, happy for our pupils, pleased for their parents and delighted for our hardworking staff.
