Former Colorado Rapids boss among the candidates speaking to Boro
Former Colorado Rapids manager Gary Smith is among the candidates speaking to Stevenage FC about the club’s vacant manager’s position, The Comet understands.
Smith, whose second in command at the Rapids was former Boro favourite Steve Guppy, is said to have registered an interest in succeeding Graham Westley as Boro’s manager. Although Smith is thought to have spoken already with Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace, no details have emerged of how advanced the talks are or if Boro see Smith as Westley’s likely successor.
Former Bournemouth and Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O’Driscoll is also said to be interested in the Stevenage post while the name of current Arsenal youth team coach Steve Bould has also been doing the rounds.
