X FACTOR star Kitty Brucknell performed in front of hundreds of people in Town Square, Stevenage, before the official Christmas lights switch-on last night (Thursday).
The 26-year-old singer, who was voted off the show on Sunday night, performed four songs during a 15-minute set - Sweet Dreams, Live and Let Die, Somewhere over the Rainbow and The Edge.
Visitors had already enjoyed a performance by the Gordon Craig Theatre cast of Christmas panto Beauty and the Beast, as well as a fun fair and free goodies.
Kitty was then joined on stage by the panto cast, Stevenage mayor Carol Latif, leader of Stevenage Borough Council Sharon Taylor and competition winner 11-year-old Ethan Perry, who officially switched on the Christmas lights before a display of fireworks ended the evening.
The singer also met six lucky fans – the winners of a Leisure Park and Town Centre Management competition after the show.
