Thousands turned out for fun in the sun at the weekend for a town event rained off earlier in the summer.
Families flocked to King George V Playing Fields for the rescheduled Stevenage Day on Sunday in blazing sunshine – a far cry from the waterlogged conditions in June.
Belly dancers joined rock bands, gospel choirs and martial artists to entertain the crowds as children got aboard a miniature train, go karts and giant inflatables among the many attractions.
More than 100 groups also manned stalls to raise money for societies, clubs and charities.
