HEAVY overnight snow and ice are causing travel problems across the area this morning.
Many schools are closed, and Herts police say they dealt with more than 400 emergency calls overnight.
Trains are being delayed or cancelled, and rail operator First Capital Connect is advising commuters to check the situation before travelling.
Conditions were described as poor on the A1M and the Baldock bypass and A507 have also been severely affected.
