Around 750 people braved the cold weather to take part in this year’s Knebworth Park Jog, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The annual event saw participants complete either a 5km or 10km multi-terrain route around Knebworth House.

The final fundraising total has not yet been announced, but organisers hope to reach the £40,000 mark.

“This year’s Knebworth Park Jog went exceptionally well, with around 750 people braving the bitterly cold weather and light snow flurries,” said British Heart Foundation events organiser Melanie Blackman.

“Despite the weather everyone completed the run and the atmosphere from supporters and volunteers was fantastic.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers and volunteer groups, including the Stevenage District Scouts who marshalled the route and the Stevenage Rotary group who welcomed people at the car parks. Without the support of all of our volunteers we wouldn’t be able to run our events.”
