Letchworth got in the festive spirit this Saturday for the Christmas light switch on.
The festivities kicked off at 11am with a panto performance in The Wynd.
Then it was all aboard the Christmas Land Train which carted visitors around the town with the aid of Santa’s elves.
Guests were serenaded throughout the day with a number of live performances by artists such as Hitchin Rock Choir, Jacob Slater and Kids in America singer Kim Wilde.
In the evening, visitors were led on a lantern procession starting at Eastcheap.
Love Letchworth manager Layla Eddington said: “It’s about giving back to the community this year.
“It’s about celebrating the work of local people and saying a big thank you.”
Many people took to Twitter to express their enjoyment.
Jeremy Robinson tweeted: “Really good day at Letchworth Winter Festival, Hitchin Rock Choir were awesome. Kim Wilde, fireworks and Blighty all great.”
Christian Trampenau tweeted: “Great fun in Letchworth for the Christmas lights.”
James also took to Twitter to say: “A great turnout for the @LoveLetchworth Christmas lights switch on, great atmosphere too! #christmashasarrived.”
