A HOT rod club’s first ever public showcase has been hailed as “superb” by the organiser after car enthusiasts descended on a showground last weekend.
Autorama, put on by Stevenage-based A602’s Street n’ Strip Rods, was held at Fairlands Valley Showground in Stevenage on Sunday and saw cars and bikes of many different shapes, shades and sizes all congregate in one place.
The public had the chance to vote for their favourite car with The Comet’s Choice Award given to a yellow VW van replicating The Mystery Machine from TV show Scooby-Doo.
Speaking after the event, the A602’s chairman, Stewart Jones, said: “It was superb, better than I could have imagined for our first show.
“It will be at the same time next year and hopefully even bigger and better.”
