Staff at Specsavers in Queensway, Stevenage, played doctors and nurses and raised almost £200 for Macmillan Cancer Relief.

They donned the uniforms recently and held various events, including a street collection and raffle.

Staff donated £1 per eye test carried out over the 'spec'tacular weekend.

The Stevenage store raised £198 and the store director said: "We are delighted to be able to support this cause which carries out invaluable work in the community.
