There is a North Herts District Council by-election on Thursday in Hitchin in the Oughton Ward.
The vote came about as the previous councillor, Simon Watson moved away from the area.
The candidates in alphabetical order are:
Farrow, Serena Elizabeth, 66 Watersmeet, Hitchin. Conservative.
Howe, George Winston, 15 Hampden Road, Hitchin. Green.
McDonald, Jackie, 47 Moss Way, Hitchin. Independent.
Peace, Louise, 7 Arlesey Road. Lib Dems.
