French travellers who pitched up in Stevenage’s Fairlands Valley Park at the weekend have now moved on.
The travellers were encamped on the grassy area off the corner of Chells Way and Fairlands Way, near the Chells Way Surgery.
The land is owned by Stevenage Borough Council, which served them with notice to leave as they were on public land. They left late yesterday afternoon.
Travellers also set up camp in the park in February, moving on after bailiffs employed by the council served notice.
