A SECOND language was on the menu for a group of enthusiastic pupils served up how to order food and drinks in French.
Year 6 pupils at Whitehill School, Hitchin, were taught the language for a term by Le Club Francais teacher Christine Hart.
They also designed their own menus, with pupils Vanessa Tapp and Sophie Burkbak winning a £20 voucher from Café Rouge, Hitchin, for the best design.
Ms Hart said: "They have developed a lovely accent. They have proved that learning a language is fun."
Whitehill School headteacher Frances Bradshaw said: "All Year 6 pupils now have the opportunity to learn French in a fun and exciting way.
