Freemasons from 23 lodges donated £2,718 to Garden House Hospice Care when they came together in Letchworth on Sunday.
The forum, held at The Cloisters, was attended by 87 people, who heard from hospice staff about the services and care they provide as part of the forum’s theme of charity and benevolence.
Dick Knifton chaired the forum, with Paul Gower presenting the certificate of donation to the hospice’s Lisa Seccombe and Jordan Russell.
Jordan said: “We were proud to be invited to speak about our services and care. This is a wonderful amount of money. We’re so grateful to be identified as one of the lodge’s community charities and appreciate their ongoing support. We were made to feel extremely welcome and look forward to continue building a relationship.”
