Four people have appeared in court following a robbery at a dress jewellery shop last week in which thousands of pounds was stolen.
The two women and two men were charged by Herts Police with robbery after a raid on Claire’s Accessories in Westgate Shopping Centre in Stevenage shortly before opening on Wednesday morning.
Shiuly Begum, 21, of Galley Wall Road, London, Rubbina Ali, 32, of Avondale Road, Luton and Rodney Picardi, 32, of Binks Court, Bedford and Javed Miah, 18, of Costin Street Bedford appeared at Hatfield remand court on New Year’s Eve.
Picardi and Miah were remanded in custody. Begum and Ali were conditionally bailed until next Wednesday when they will appear at Stevenage Magistrates Court.
