A road is closed in Knebworth after a crash involving a car and a van, with an air ambulance landing at the scene to help assist four casualties.
Emergency services were called at 12.50pm after the Nissan Micra car and a Citroen Dispatch van crashed at the junction of London Road and Gun Road.
Despatchers have sent three ambulance crews, an ambulance officer and an Essex & Herts Air Ambulance to the scene.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We have limited details at present but our reports state there are four casualties.”
London Road is closed at the junction with Swangley’s Lane to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
