Four men have been arrested in Stevenage after police swooped on properties after reports of drug-related activity.

Officers went to an address at the Brent Court tower block on Friday, following numerous complaints about drug use and dealing.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of class A drugs, and a 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. Both are from Stevenage.

On Monday, officers from the Operation Scorpion anti-drugs team forced entry to a property in Shephall View under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession with intent to supply class A drugs, and a 71-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. Both are from Stevenage.

The warrant was obtained after police received numerous complaints and information about drug-related activity in the Bedwell and Shephall aras of the town from members of the public.

A further two warrants were executed at Ely Close this morning. No arrests have been made in connection with this address at this time.
