FOUR people have been arrested and one charged with drugs-related offences following a series of early morning police raids.
About 60 officers visited 10 addresses in Stevenage on Thursday morning under Operation Scorpion, targeting drugs supply and related crimes.
During the raids substances believed to be illegal drugs were seized, as well as cash.
Dwayne Mayers, 30, from Mildmay Road, Stevenage, was arrested and has since been charged with possession of Class B drugs.
He was released on bail to return to Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on June 5.
Three men, aged 20, 23 and 50, and a 39-year-old woman, all from Stevenage, have all been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
All four have been bailed to return to Stevenage Police Station on July 4 pending further investigations.
