Greg Tansey starts for Inverness in their Scottish League Cup defeat to Aberdeen
Greg Tansey has picked up a runners-up medal with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish League Cup.
The midfielder joined the Scottish Premier side from Stevenage on an 18-month deal in January and started today’s match against Aberdeen in what was Thistle’s first ever appearance in a major cup final.
The game finished 0-0 after 90 minutes and after no goals followed in extra-time the match went to penalties.
Tansey, however, was one of two Inverness players who missed their spot kick as Aberdeen triumphed 4-2 on penalties.
