Simon Heslop has had a trial with both the Stags and Crawley this summer
Simon Heslop is set to join Mansfield Town, according to reports.
The midfielder left Stevenage at the end of last season as part of manager Graham Westley’s summer clearout.
Heslop, who made 30 appearances for Boro in his one season with the club, scored in a trial at Crawley Town last week but it now looks as though the 27-year-old former Barnsley and Oxford United player is set to join the Stags following a trial at the club.
