Steve Arnold left Boro this summer after two years at the club
Steve Arnold has signed a two-year deal at Forest Green Rovers.
The goalkeeper was released by Stevenage this summer following two years spent at the Lamex and joins former Boro players Sam Wedgbury and Luke Oliver at the Conference club.
The Arsenal and Norwich City youth product made three appearances for Stevenage last season - against Ipswich Town in the Capital One Cup and Swindon Town in the league in August, and then again when he reclaimed the goalkeeper’s jersey from Chris Day against Coventry City in March.
However, his return to the side was brief as a knee injury picked up in the warm up against Port Vale the following Saturday meant that the 24-year-old would not feature again for Boro.
Boss Ady Pennock told the Gloucester Citizen: “Steve has a big presence about him and will keep Sam Russell on his toes next season.
“I want competition for places all over the team and we now have Steve as well as Sam and young Paul White in the goalkeeping department.”
