A former science teacher from Codicote has been charged with four child sex offences.

Wayne Thornton, who taught at Nicholas Breakspear School in St Albans, was arrested earlier this year after he was allegedly found with child pornography on his computer.

The 47 year old was charged with two counts of making indecent photographs of a child, one count of facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child and for the commission of a child sex offence earlier on December 9.
