Former Arlesey Town Council vice-chairman denies GBH against wife

A former vice-chairman of Arlesey Town Council is set to stand trial at crown court next month, charged with assaulting his wife.

David West, 56, of St Peter’s Avenue, is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding his wife Brenda West on October 11.

Mr West pleaded not guilty to GBH when he appeared before Luton magistrates on Monday, with the court directing a trial by jury.

He has been bailed to appear at Luton Crown Court on March 20.
