Lisa Zsentko, of Kingsway in Stotfold, had put out an appeal for help cutting back her garden so four-year-old Stone could spend more time there.

And after Shane Johnson of Hitchin-based contracting firm Heaven and Earth Landscaping heard about the appeal, he led a complete overhaul.

“For everyone to care about Stone like this – and his brother Blaze too – it’s overwhelming and just lovely,” said mum-of-six Lisa.

“Stone’s been out on the trampoline, and the kids have had a Hallowe’en party there, which was impossible before. This has been massive.”

Stone was left blind and brain damaged at 11 months after pneumococcal meningitis caused spastic quadraplegia and cerebral palsy.

Extension work had made the garden unsafe for him. Shane’s team installed asphalt pathways around the garden, a sunken trampoline, sensory tunnels, walls and more.
