FLOODING has caused the closure of a country road.
Hertfordshire County Council says the road between Willian and Great Wymondley was closed several days ago after melting snow on nearby fields caused deep pools of water on the narrow road.
Today (Friday) a spokesman for the council said: "The road was closed by the police and remains so because flood water is still coming off neighbouring fields. We are carrying out drainage works and aim to reopen the road next week.
