The long-awaited Letchworth parkrun will launch at Grange Recreation Ground this Saturday.
Funding for the event has been provided by North Hertfordshire District Council, Public Health England and the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation.
The new 5km running route, which will start at the Grange Recreation Ground in Letchworth, will take place every Saturday morning from 9am.
It is free to take part and people of all ages and abilities are welcome. Runners are asked to register before their first run and print off the barcode to ensure their times will be recorded.
Letchworth parkrun is still in need of volunteers – to sign up email letchworthhelpers@parkrun.com. For more information go to parkrun.org.uk/letchworth.
It is the second parkrun to launch in our area, following Stevenage’s debut at Fairlands Valley Park in May 2016.
