QUICK-thinking Biggleswade St John Ambulance member Andrew Boness went into action when he came across a road accident. And now he has been nominated for a Vodafone Life Savers Award.
The 29-year-old was returning home when he spotted a car which had been hit by a lorry trailer.
A child on the back seat seemed uninjured but the mother driving was trapped by the dashboard which had been crushed down onto her legs.
Andrew checked her over, put on a neck collar and a pad to stem bleeding and comforted the woman until the emergency services arrived.
