FIREFIGHTERS tackled two blazes at the weekend which started in kitchens.
Crews were first called at about 10.25pm on Saturday to Coventry Close in Stevenage after reports that a fire had started in a bungalow.
One person was led to safety but did not require hospital treatment. The blaze was out 20 minutes later.
Two fire engines from Baldock were then called to Elmswood Avenue in the town at about 3.40am on Sunday, with the property declared safe by 4am.
