Firefighters tackled a field blaze this afternoon on the edge of Hitchin’s Westmill estate.
The fire service received a call just before 1.25pm reporting that a harvested field near Kings Hedges was alight.
One crew from the town used beaters and a hose reel on the fire, which was out by 2pm.
The cause of the blaze is believed to be accidental.
