Firefighters tackle ‘deliberate’ car fire in Stevenage

Firefighters rushed to the scene of a car fire in Stevenage last night – and police believe the blaze was started deliberately.

Emergency crews were called to Inskip Crescent at about 7pm. Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hosereel to tackle the blaze.

A police spokeswoman said: “The fire is deemed to have been started deliberately and investigations into the incident are continuing.”
