Firefighters and police officers forced their way into a Letchworth toilet cubicle today after concerns for a man’s welfare.

Police were called at 11.29am to the public toilets at Howard Park and Gardens in Norton Way South, due to concerns for the welfare of a man.

It was reported that a man had locked himself inside a toilet cubicle, with officers and firefighters forcing their way in to help him.

A police spokeswoman has said the man is safe and well.
