A fire at a house in Stevenage on Monday is being treated as arson by police.
The force received a call at 9.05pm to reports of a fire at the home in The Muntings.
Two Stevenage fire crews attended the small fire on ground floor of property, and a Herts Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said that “one hose reel, one covering jet, two breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation” were used to extinguish the flames.
A police spokeswoman said: “The fire is being treated as arson and officers are investigating.
“Any witnesses, or anyone with information that can help the investigation, should contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/42089/18.
