Police, fire and ambulance crews were all called to a crash in Stevenage’s Grace Way last night, with the road closed while a casualty was freed.

The collision involved a blue Toyota Prius and a blue Hyundai Sante Fe.

The road was temporarily closed around 10.30pm after the crash.

Three ambulances and an ambulance officer attended. One patient was trapped in the vehicle and was released by the fire service. Two other patients were already out of the vehicle on the arrival of ambulance crews.

The three patients were taken by ambulance to the Lister Hospital with neck, back and chest pains.

Recovery for the vehicles was completed by 1am.
