FLOODING concerns will be addressed at an evening hosted by Mid Beds District Council this month.
For those living close to the Ivel, Hiz or Flit rivers in Bedfordshire, an opportunity to talk directly to those involved in managing flood risk will be provided by the Environment Agency.
Following the flooding problems in January 2003, the Environment Agency has carried out a modelling study to find out the current standard of flood protection provided to the towns and villages situated along these rivers.
The staff involved with the studies will be available to explain the results and discuss alternative options for managing flood risk.
The meeting will take place at the Sandy Holiday Inn on September 27 from 4pm to 7.30pm.
