A veterinary practice serving the Biggleswade area is set to welcome visitors to an open day this weekend, with pony rides, exotic animals and more for all the family to enjoy.
The Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice in Upper Caldecote will be welcoming visitors for this event from 12 noon to 4pm on Sunday, with behind-the-scenes access including the chance for children to become ‘vets for the day’.
There will also be face painting, a dog show and more, including a challenge to guess the name of a cute Shetland pony.
The dog show will be judged by Clive Elwood of Davies Veterinary Specialists, the animal referral centre near Shillington.
All proceeds from the event – held every three years – will go to the Shetland Pony Welfare Trust and the Rehoming Animal Telephone Service, which will both have stalls at the event.
There will be refreshments including burgers, hot dogs and ice cream.
