Boro set to play two matches in three days next week after Northampton Town turn down request to push league game back 24 hours
Stevenage will face Wrexham in the second round of the FA Cup if they overcome Maidstone United in their first round reply.
Boro and the Stones were paired with the Conference side in Monday evening’s draw, which was made live on the BBC.
Graham Westley’s men played out a 0-0 draw with Maidstone on Sunday afternoon, and now face the trip to the Stones’ 3G pitch next Thursday (7.45pm) in a match that will be screened live on BT Sport.
Stevenage then face a trip to Northampton Town the following Saturday (November 22) meaning that Boro are set to play two matches in three days.
Boro asked Northampton Town if they could push their match back by 24 hours, but this request was declined by the Cobblers.
The FA Cup second round match will be played on the weekend of December 6-7.
