PATROLS are being carried out near a stable, after the attempted theft of a pony.
Police were alerted last Monday evening to the attempted theft of the animal from a stable in Burge End Lane, Pirton.
Officers attended the scene, where it was reported the offenders attempted to lead the pony across the fields, before being disturbed.
Police have began conducting high visibility patrols in the area, in a bid to stop a similar incident happening again.
