A haul of expensive jewellery has been stolen after thieves broke into a home in Hitchin yesterday.

The burglarly occurred in Cadwell Lane between 10am and 11.45am on Wednesday October 22.

Offenders broke in through a rear patio door and once inside stole high value gold items which included a 24 carat gold men’s Rado watch, 24 carat gold disc shaped earrings, 24 carat mens gold bracelet, a mens curb necklace and a mens ring with an engraving.

A spokesman for Herts Police said: “We’re investigating this burglarly, and are appealing to anyone who might have seen a suspicious person or vehicle to contact us on 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. The crime reference to quote is G1/14/2643.
