Jon Ashton has joined Stevenage’s League Two rivals Crawley Town after his release from Boro.
The former Stevenage defender and captain has signed a one-year contract with the Red Devils and will link up there with other ex-Boro players in Simon Walton and Jimmy Smith.
Stevenage will travel to Crawley in the league on Boxing Day before the return clash at the Lamex Stadium on Saturday, February 6.
