An elderly woman who died after a collision with a car in Hitchin has been named.
Marie Ronald, from the town, died in Stevenage’s Lister Hospital four days after a black Hyundai collided with her on Queen Street near Asda supermarket on Tuesday, December 29.
The 89-year-old is believed to have died from a suspected brain haemorrhage after sustaining a hairline fracture to the skull – with an inquest to be held to establish the cause at a later date.
