Police have confirmed today that an elderly woman who was involved in a collision with a car near a Hitchin supermarket died on Saturday.
The lady in her 80s was crossing the road outside Asda in Queen Street at around 12.45pm on Tuesday last week when a black Hyundai collided with her.
The woman was taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage with serious head injuries, but died on Saturday morning while still in hospital.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and anyone with any information should call 101 quoting ISR 250 December 29 2015.
