A SCHOOL has launched a project which encourages children to make the right choices concerning their safety, health and relationships with others.

Letchmore Infants and Nursery School in Stevenage has launched 1Decision – an interactive website programme for primary school pupils.

1Decision provides a series of educational videos with alternative endings, together with assessment and exercises to support learning throughout the personal, social, health, education (PSHE) subject.

Letchmore pupils, together with children at Moss Bury Primary School in Stevenage, took part in the filming for this Hertfordshire-based programme, which will soon be available to the whole of the UK.

Lisa Nevill, PSHE leader at Letchmore said: “1Decision is an excellent interactive product which the children really enjoyed in our PSHE sessions.

“The animations are engaging and the videos are age appropriate and encouraged very good discussions between the children. They shared experiences and were then able to make a decision about which choice they should make and why.”

The programme launch coincided with a visit to the school by Stevenage MP Stephen McPartland.
