A pre-school deemed “inadequate” by Ofsted is to close in April.
Busy Bees Pre-School, based at The Oval shops in Vardon Road, Stevenage, will close on April 4 – the end of its spring term.
The pre-school, which is not affiliated with the Busy Bees national chain which has nurseries in London Road and Whitehorse Lane, received an ‘inadequate’ rating from education watchdog Ofsted following an inspection in October.
Jeanette Thomas, chairman of The Oval Community Centre committee, said: “It is with much regret that the Oval Community Centre has announced the closure of its Busy Bees Pre-School. This has been a very difficult decision for the committee to take as we understand the impact this will have on our children and their parents.”
