STUDENTS at Samuel Whitbread Community College in Clifton maintained the status quo this year, achieving overall GCSE results similar to last year.
As a year group, 63 per cent secured five GCSEs grade A* to C, with eight students achieving 10 or more A*s and As.
These high achievers included Catherine Cunningham who accomplished seven A*s and four As, Tom Fletcher who secured eight A*s and three As, Jade Tipping who achieved six A*s and five As, and Eleanor Costa who got six A*s, four As and a B in A-level psychology.
Principal Robert Robson said: "I'm very pleased. There are lots and lots of smiling happy faces. The students have done very well and nearly all of them have got their places in sixth form.
