A LEVEL and BTEC results remained pleasingly high at Priory School in Hitchin with students achieving at least as expected or better.

That was the verdict of headteacher Peter Loach.

He said Claire Foster did particularly well, gaining two A grades and three Bs to study modern languages at Durham University.

Jonathan Bryant gained an A, two Bs and a C to study electrical engineering at Southampton University. Three students who gained double distinctions in their advanced level BTEC business course were Charmaine Furey, Beth Tacon and Khaled Miah.

"We are thrilled that all of our students are moving on to a university place of their choice. They have achieved so much with the help of excellent teaching and hugely supportive parents. We wish them all further success, health and happiness," said Mr Loach.
